HISTORY

The club Clube Aventura da Madeira (CAMadeira) was funded on the 15th of December 1997 and was the pioneer in Madeira in the organisation of orienteering, surf and adventure racing events.

Between the pioneer activities we can name the 1st Non-federated Regional Orienteering Championship (six competitions), the first Regional Surf Tour (three competitions) and various adventure racing events, namely the Youth Adventure Games and the Madeira Challenger.

_

Nowadays the club has five departments: Orienteering, Sport Climbing, Target Archery, Surf and Mountaineering. The orienteering is the activity with more expression. It has sixty athletes competing on the Madeira Cup, and seven that compete on the Portuguese Cup.
